Agentic, agentic, a-d-gentic.
(In Russian, ад means hell. Keep that in mind as we go.)

We added verification. Our agent spins in a feral loop, checking itself against a thousand linters. The strictest checks are running — checks you don’t even know exist — something like LintLikeAGodIsLookingAtYouStrictly. It is, as far as I can tell, very thorough. I have not read a single line of its output.

Another pane. Same insane loop. This agent crawled the entire internet twice to find best practices for the design doc, made it maximally readable, added a terminology section at the bottom — and is now going in for one more iteration to rewrite the doc in the style of your docs. You haven’t written a doc in a year. There is no style to match. The agent does not know this. Possibly it’s stuck. No time to check.
Ctrl-b, down
Here lives the self-learning loop. We replaced the API calls with MCP server calls, because of course we did. Now I need to restart every agent so that on the next iteration they become even smarter. They will become even smarter. The smartness is non-negotiable. Restarting.
Ctrl-b, left
What is this pane? Oh. Oh, look how many tokens it ran up while I was in the other windows. That’s a number with commas in it. I’ll close it, I think. Quietly. We don’t speak of this pane again.
Ctrl-b, Ctrl-l
Need one more small pane. It came out narrow — too narrow for the full folder path, which now reads as …ts/volyx.git…. I’ve been meaning to switch to Zellij for ages. Can’t see a thing in here. Fine, from memory then: claudecode dangerously skip permissions. Seems to have worked? Something scrolled. Good enough.
Now I need a loop for code review. I can’t keep up reviewing my colleagues’ code — there’s too much of it, and they wrote it with the same loops, so really the loops are reviewing the loops, and I’m just the human who presses Ctrl-b.
Continuing, naturally, the tokenmaxxing saga. The metric still goes up. The panes still spin. Nobody has stopped to ask whether any of it converged.
Ctrl-b, right.
